چکیده
The artichoke (Cynara scolymus) belongs to Asteraceae family. It is included in British and European Pharmacopeia has long–used traditional medicine several countries. plant primarily grows North Africa Mediterranean; addition, it cultivated around the world. Artichoke wildly distributed Iraq at watery lines boundary of field. aim study was induce callus from leaves as explants, compare between contents total phenolic flavonoids that extracted induced leaves. maintained on Murashige Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with Naphthalene Acetic Acid (NAA) Benzyl Adenine (BA). highest percentage (100%) combination (5mg/l NAA plus 2 mg/l BA), followed by (86.67%) (3mg/l 1mg/l BA). Two types (friable compact) were induced. extract friable produced 0.858 mg/g phenolic, while 167.24 µg/ mg flavonoids. Auxins cytokinins added together culture seemed be necessary for tissue culture.

Effect of Methanol and Titanium Dioxide Nanoparticles on Phytochemical Properties of Artichoke (Cynara scolymus L.)
Extended Abstract Introduction and Objective: In recent years, studies have focused on the use of new compounds that can be synthesized inside the plant and increase the photosynthetic efficiency of the plant. Some of these compounds include micronutrients and alcohols. Alcohols such as methanol as a carbon source will increase photosynthetic efficiency and improve plant growth parameters. Tit...
متن کاملIn Vitro Phytoequivalency of Artichoke Extracts (Cynara scolymus L.) and Their Drug Products
In this study, the quantitative amounts of chlorogenic acid (CA) in spray dried artichoke (Cynara scolymus L.) leaf extract (SD) and standardized artichoke commercial products (CP1, CP2) were calculated by using HPLC. The amounts of CA were 4.66±2.96x10 mg/capsule and 27.9±9.98x10 mg/capsule for CP1 and CP2 respectively. The in vitro phytoequivalance of SD, CP1 and CP2 were evaluated by using t...
متن کاملInhibition of cholesterol biosynthesis in primary cultured rat hepatocytes by artichoke (Cynara scolymus L.) extracts.
High-dose aqueous extracts from artichoke leaves were found to inhibit cholesterol biosynthesis from 14C-acetate in primary cultured rat hepatocytes in a concentration-dependent biphasic manner with moderate inhibition (approximately 20%) between 0.007 and 0.1 mg/ml and more strong inhibition at 1 mg/ml. Cytotoxic effects detected by lactate dehydrogenase leakage and the 3-[4, 5-dimethylthiazol...

متن کاملPhenolic Compounds from Artichoke (Cynara scolymus L.) By- products and their Antimicrobial Activities
Cynara scolymus L. is a medicinal plant frequently used in traditional medicine for liver diseases. The aim of this study is to evaluate the antimicrobial activity of the different parts of Artichoke. Maximum antimicrobial activity was observed with methanolic extract of bound phenols for (bract and heart) against Gram negative bacteria. The MIC values for bound phenols from heart were (63μg/ml...
